Chapter 10 - Solution to Darwin's Dilemma
| Last Updated April 29, 2015 | |
This final chapter goes over three different points:
- At first, different approaches to science are outlined. The conclusion though is that "..at the end of the day, there is only one style that is always reliable: Science by Facts..". This is true not only for science but also for many other aspects of life. Be sure to have an idea of what is being said here.
- The next point is the most important, the answer we have been looking for: the solution to Darwin's dilemma. The three pages that you should know very well, for both this quiz and the final, are those from 269 to 272, including Table 10.1 page 270 and Figure 10.1, page 273. Has the solution to Darwin's dilemma been found?
- Finally, a clever comparison between U.S. history and life history is followed by a few pages where the development of intelligence in animals is discussed. Are plants intelligent? Are animals intelligent? Are humans intelligent? What is Schopf's point of view? What is yours?
